Support Engineer

At WP Provider, we manage and maintain WordPress websites for entrepreneurs, web designers, and digital agencies. We’re looking for a Support Engineer who does more than just handle tickets. Someone who actively thinks along, analyzes problems, and helps improve our services and processes.

What will you do?

• Support customers via tickets, email, and chat.

• Troubleshoot technical issues related to WordPress, WooCommerce, hosting, and email.

• Analyze issues in plugins, themes, servers, and websites.

• Migrate websites between hosting environments.

• Manage domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, and email configurations.

• Investigate and resolve Linux and hosting-related issues.

• Collaborate with developers on complex technical challenges.

• Use AI tools to work faster and more efficiently.

• Contribute ideas for automation and process improvements.

• Help develop Overmind, our in-house WordPress management platform.

What do we expect from you?

WordPress experience is required

You have at least 2 years of hands-on WordPress experience and can independently troubleshoot issues related to:

• WordPress

• WooCommerce

• Plugins

• Themes

• Hosting environments

In addition, you:

• Have experience with DNS, SSL certificates, and email systems.

• Can independently analyze and solve technical problems.

• Are comfortable reading and interpreting log files.

• Work accurately and in a structured manner.

• Speak and write fluent Dutch.

• Can explain technical concepts clearly to customers.

• Take ownership of issues until they are fully resolved.

AI & Automation

We believe AI is a tool, not a replacement.

You:

• Use AI tools such as GPT in your daily work.

• Leverage AI to speed up research and problem-solving.

• Critically evaluate AI-generated results.

• Actively think about automation and efficiency improvements.

You don’t need to know everything by heart. What matters is your ability to research, analyze, and find the right solution independently.

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience with DirectAdmin.

• Experience with CloudLinux.

• Experience with LiteSpeed.

• Knowledge of Linux server administration.

• Experience with PHP.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with Git.

• Experience working for a hosting company.

• Experience with Managed WordPress Hosting.

How do we work?

We’re not looking for a ticket processor.

When a ticket lands on your desk, you take ownership and make sure it gets resolved. You’ll involve colleagues when needed, but you remain responsible until the customer is helped.

If you notice the same issue appearing repeatedly, you don’t just solve the ticket—you think about how to prevent the problem from happening again.

You’ll have a lot of freedom and responsibility. We trust you to work independently and take initiative when you see opportunities for improvement.
